🔹 Secondary Antioxidants – Hydroperoxide Decomposers

  • Role: Breaks down peroxides that accelerate degradation

  • They are mainly based on phosphites and thioesters.

  • High temperature performance

Common examples:

  • Irgafos® 168

  • Weston 618

  • Songnox® 1680

Applications: Along with primary antioxidant for complete thermal stability

🔹Blended Antioxidants (Blended Systems)

  • Combination of primary and secondary antioxidants
